Monadnock Rotary Club - Local Centennial Project

The Monadnock Rotary Club (MRC), in recognition and honor of Rotary International's Centennial Year celebration in 2005 elected to undertake as its local Centennial project the funding of a fully equipped mobile food and refreshments concession trailer to be presented to the Conval School District. This greatly needed and desired trailer (which the District is unable to fund itself) will be used for the following purposes:

  • For the comfort and enjoyment of all who attend major Conval athletic events with healthy food choices
  • As a way for students to engage in volunteer service on behalf of their school and community
  • As a means of raising funds to help support Conval School District athletics and, perhaps, other programs as well
  • As a tool to give students general business management and specific food services experience
The concession trailor is dedicated in the Memory of Rotarian Hal Porter

Those participating had a chance to win $10,000! and, at the same time help the Monadnock Rotary Club raise funds for a concession van for the Conval School District that goes to area games and serves healthy food. This concession van is also available to the community when it is not in use by the school.

The raffle drawing was held Wednesday, April 13, 2005. Thanks to all who purchased.
